Hi, I'm Caroline!

I've been working in the humanitarian sector for over 12 years, in NGO headquarters as a human resources management specialist, in the field as a program manager and field coordinator and as a consultant. A couple of years ago, after a particularly challenging time in the field, I felt a need for change. I was still committed to humanitarian work but I could see the limits of working NGO staff and the need for change in the sector. I decided to switch to supporting organizations as a consultant as it seemed like the best way to participate in this change.

I first collaborated with an HR consulting firm which delivers services to NGOs, and more recently decided to venture on my own and specialize in safeguarding and prevention of sexual and gender-based violence. There is a growing concern regarding the prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation in the aid sector but the task remains huge.

I created CaPa Solutions in 2019. I have been supporting humanitarian organizations in the investigation of cases of SEAH and in the development and/or improvement of their safeguarding tools and practices for the past two years. I also teach project cycle management at Bioforce Institute in France.
